Eddie and Rhonda Smither announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Alexis Lexie Smither, to Thomas TJ Gaines, son of Richard Gaines and Patsy Gaines.
Ms. Smither is a graduate of Franklin County High School and the Kentucky State University School of Nursing where she received an associates degree in nursing. She is employed by the University of Kentucky Childrens Hospital.
Mr. Gaines is a graduate of Franklin County High School and is employed by the City of Frankfort.
The wedding will be Sept. 16, 4 p.m., at Camp Pleasant Baptist Church.
An open wedding will be observed.
