Samantha Mae Bates, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Bates of Lexington and Ms. Debra Bates of Frankfort, and William Christopher Hall, son of Mrs. Kathy Allen and Mr. William Hall of Frankfort, were married May 12, 2006, 7 p.m., at St. John Baptist Church. Brother John Wyatt performed the ceremony.

Nuptial music was provided by Trudy Roberts, pianist, and Nathan Bales and Erika Branham, vocalists.

Kellynn Bates, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Camile Breen, niece of the groom, of Champaign, Ill., was the flower girl, and Jenny Renaud of Lexington attended the guest book.

Tim Fowler of Frankfort served as best man. Ushers were Chris Renaud of Lexington and Kevin Bowman of Frankfort, and Brayden Wells was the ring bearer.

A reception at the church followed the ceremony.

A wedding trip is planned to Hawaii this October.

The Halls are making their home in Frankfort.

Mrs. Hall is a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a degree in human nutrition.

Mr. Hall is employed by Kenvirons.
