‘Funny Thing’ auditions set
SHELBYVILLE – Auditions for Shelby County Community Theatre’s production of A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, by Stephen Sondheim, Burt Shevelove and Larry Gelbart, are Sunday, May 20 and Monday, May 21 at 7 p.m. at the theater, 801 Main St.
Auditioners should be prepared to do cold readings from the script or a one-minute monologue, and bring sheet music and sing 16 to 32 bars of up-beat music. The Frankfort High School class of 1972 will hold its 40th reunion Aug. 17-19 in downtown Frankfort. The Franklin County High School class of 1972 will hold a 40th anniversary graduation celebration from 7 p.m.-midnight Saturday, Sept. 15 at the Frankfort Country Club. WHHS class of 2002
The graduating class of WHHS 2002 will celebrate its 10-year reunion on Saturday, July 21 at the Glenn Willis House from 6-11 p.m. Tickets are $20 per person and will include a light dinner and drinks.
There will also be a “Family Night” for graduates to bring families down to a designated area at the Old Capitol for the Downtown Summer Concert series on Friday, July 20. There you can purchase tickets for activities on the 21st. Tickets are also available for purchase in advance. The USS America Carrier Veteran’s Association will hold its reunion Sept. 11-15 in Baton Rouge, LA., at the Holiday Inn South, 9940 Airline Highway. The highlight will be a trip to Pascagoula, Miss. For a tour of the LHA6 America.
