Bondurant puts on "Medieval Who Dun It'

Bondurant Middle School went back to medieval times on Tuesday, May 15. Teacher of the Year Will Barker decided he had seen enough drama in the halls and wanted to bring it to the stage.

The Seventh Grade Script Writers Club put their creativity to work to write the play. The scenery crew and backstage ninjas (Lucy Buchanan, Rose Colten, Brenna Matthews, Hannah Roberts, Tamara Rudic, Bethany Schagane, Nate Simpson, Tamia Stallard, Aubree Taylor, and Megan Varney) spent hours on decorations, lighting, and stage set up.

Capital Surgical Clinic, Royal Spring Theatrical Society, and parent volunteers donated time, materials, costumes and more, all helping make the play a success.

“Medieval Who Dun It” is a historical comedy. Queen Mildred (Lucy Buchanan) was delightfully evil when realizing her jewels were stolen. Lady Elizabeth (Annie Davis) was an arrogant, ditzy character that brought many laughs. After many accusations and arguments the Narrator (Katie Miller) comes to conclude the play when the jewels fall out of her cape.

This not only surprises the queen and the crowd, it saves the lives of all the other suspects.
