What to do TODAY?

Looking for something to do this afternoon? How about some drama? Maybe some music or a fundraiser? There are plenty of activities going on around our town. Here are some to help you fill your day.

Cow Pasture Bingo at 3

The annual Cow Pasture Bingo Fund Raiser to benefit Project Graduation 2012 for Franklin County High School and Western Hills High School is set for 3 p.m. at Lakeview Park. The top prize is $1,000.

Final FHS one-acts at 3

The Frankfort High School Drama Club’s final presentation of “Senior Directed One Acts” is at 3 p.m. in the auditorium at the school. The presentation is free of charge, however, donations will be accepted.

Army Band at 2

The 202nd Army Band will perform in concert beginning at 2 p.m. in Kentucky State University’s Bradford Hall Auditorium. Sponsored by the Frankfort Arts Foundation, the concert is free and the public is invited. The title is,  “No Finer Calling: A Salute to America’s Heroes.”

Children Singers at 3

The Frankfort Children Singers will present its ninth annual Spring Concert at 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 201 St. Clair St. The concert is free and open to the public.

L.I.F.E House, 2-4

L.I.F.E.House for Animals, Inc. is hosting its Ninth Anniversary Open House from 2-4 p.m. The event will feature tours, celebrating successful adoptions and the opportunity to sign up to volunteer.  The facility is at 14 Fido Ct. off C. Flags for vets at 2

Members of the VFW will be placing flags on the graves of veterans at the Frankfort Cemetery beginning at 2 p.m. Individuals or members of any organization or group may help with the project. Refreshments will follow at Post 4075, 104 E. Second St.
