The Genesis I Youth Choir from Munsey Memorial United Methodist Church, Johnson City, Tenn., performed at First Christian Church, 316 Ann St., on Sunday, June 3. The group presented a service of worship through music entitled, “God is With Us – Sing for Joy!” focusing on the ministry of worship and service through the pattern of the liturgical year.  The performance was also a R.O.S.M. (Resource Office for Social Ministries) fundraiser and raised over $1,000. First Christian Church held Voices Beyond Sunday (VBS) July 9-13.  A presentation for family and friends was held in the church sanctuary at 5 p.m. on Friday, July 13.  The children also wore their brightly colored tie dyed T-shirts made during crafts time.  Maria
Bartholomew is directing and David Gierlach is the accompanist.
