Kara Marie Bavery, daughter of Todd and Kelly Bavery of Geneva, Ill., and Zachary Hughes Wolfe, son of Charles and Susan Wolfe of Frankfort, were married Oct. 15, 2011, at Fox Valley Country Club in North Aurora, Ill. The Rev. William D. Wolfe of Colorado Springs, Colo., uncle of the groom, performed the ceremony.
Stephanie Liske, of Lexington Park, Md., was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were the bride’s sisters, Jenna and Devon Bavery, of Geneva, and Tami Bejger, of Aurora, Ill.
Shawn Brown, of Portland, Ore., was best man. Groomsmen were Thomas Wolfe, brother of the groom, of Frankfort; Sam Bavery, brother of the bride, of Minneapolis, and Adam Thomas, of Boston. Mr. Brown and Mr. Thomas are former residents of Frankfort.
A reception at Fox Valley Country Club followed the ceremony.
The Wolfes are making their home in Owings Mills, Md.
Mrs. Wolfe is a 2007 graduate of Illinois State University with bachelor’s degrees in history and political science and a master’s degree in political science. She is employed by Hanover Insurance Co., in Baltimore, Md.
Mr. Wolfe is a 2002 graduate of Western Hills High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in political science from Georgetown College in 2006 and a master’s in political science from Illinois State University in 2009. He is employed by Laureate International in Baltimore.
Deana L. Bertrand and Jayson R. Mitchell announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage.
Ms. Bertrand is the daughter of Dean and Bobbie Hughes of Frankfort. She is a 1990 graduate of Western Hills High School and is employed by the Kentucky Labor Cabinet, Department of Workers’ Claims.
Mr. Mitchell is the son of the late George and Opal Mitchell. He is a 1989 graduate of Monrovia High School, Monrovia, Calif., and is employed by the Kentucky Labor Cabinet, Department of Workers’ Claims.
The wedding will be Sept. 15 at the Carter House.
A closed wedding will be observed.
Anne Louise Marshall, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas A. Marshall of Frankfort, and Adam McDonnell Taylor, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Taylor of Newburgh, Ind., were married Saturday, July 14, 2012, at noon at Perry’s Restaurant in Washington, D.C. Magistrate Judge Jason Brayton-Lewis performed the ceremony.
Carter Monique Owen of Philadelphia, Pa., was matron of honor, and Lauren Kunze of Washington, D.C., was the bridesmaid.
Matt Taylor of Bowling Green, brother of the groom, was best man. Blair Johnson of Urbana, Ill., was the groomsman, and Jack Marshall of Summerland Key, Fla., brother of the bride, was the usher.
A lunch reception at Perry’s Restaurant followed the ceremony.
After a wedding trip to the Pacific Northwest, the Taylors are making their home in Washington, D.C.
Mrs. Taylor is a graduate of Franklin County High School, the University of Georgia and Georgetown Law Center. She is employed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
Mr. Taylor is a graduate of Indiana Academy for Science, Mathematics and Humanities, Purdue University and Georgetown Law Center. He is employed by the law firm McDermott Will & Emery.
