Franklin County High School Key Club members Robert Washburn, Jessica Tracy, Lynsey Temple and Brandon Graves paid a visit to an East Frankfort Kiwanis Club meeting recently. The Key Clubbers gave a report on their trip to the International Convention and outlined the activities they are planning for the coming year. The FCHS Key Club meets on Mondays after school. All FCHS students are invited to join. East Frankfort Kiwanis meets 5 p.m. Tuesday on the fourth floor of Farmers Bank downtown. (photos submitted)

(photos submitted) Western Hills High School teacher Eric Shields, left, and Hearn Elementary School teacher Bill Counts listen as Frankfort Kiwanis Club member Missy Hammons talks about two Kiwanis-sponsored student organizations the two men will advise this year. Shields will be advisor to the re-activated WHHS Key Club while Counts will advise the new K-Kids Club at Hearn. Hammons presented each of the advisors with a new gavel to be used in their club meetings and expressed the club’s appreciation to them for the time they are devoting to the student service leadership programs.
