Kids Crusade this weekend at CHC
A two-day Kids Crusade called “Youth Invasion” will be held Friday and Saturday at Community Harvest Church, 600 Schenkel Lane. On Friday night the event begins at 6 p.m. and at 10 a.m. on Saturday. It features puppets, music, prizes and more.

‘The Browders’ coming to WFCOG revival
West Frankfort Church of God, 1518 Louisville Rd., will host a revival beginning on Sunday, Oct. 7 through Thursday, Oct. 11 featuring “The Browders.” Services for Sunday, Oct. 7 morning worship begin at 11. with Sunday evening worship at 6. GBC slates fall festival
Graefenburg Baptist Church will host a family fall festival Sunday, Oct. 7, from 4-6 p.m. The festival will feature hayrides, cakewalks, refreshments, carnival games, crafts and a magic show for children of all ages.
The festival will be followed by the monthly performance of “Hosanna House” at 6 p.m. “Hosanna House” is a children’s ministry that uses skits and songs to illustrate Biblical virtues. The show is broadcast on Frankfort Plant Board cable Channel 10 at 7 p.m. on Sundays.

Capital City Boys at Calvary Oct. 21
Calvary Baptist Church, in conjunction with Providence and North Fork Baptist Churches, will host the Capital City Boys Quartet in a 6 p.m. concert Sunday, Oct. 21 at Calvary Baptist Church, 36 Schoolhouse Rd. Light snacks will be provided following the concert. The public is invited, and a love offering will be taken.
The Capital City Boys, a local favorite, say their mission is to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ in song to all who will listen. The group is composed of Chris Woodyard, Josh Martin, Kelly Briscoe, Alan Taylor and Danny Hughes.
‘Blessing of Animals’ service Oct. 21 a HCC
Highland Christian Church, Versailles Road at Lyons Drive, will host a Blessing of Animals service at 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21 in the yard behind the playground. All leashed or crated pets are welcome. ‘Nightmare On 2nd Street’
Camp Pleasant Baptist Church, 830 Shadrick Ferry Road, and Capital Restoration & Automotive Service, 106 W. 2nd St., are sponsoring a haunted house called “Nightmare On 2nd Street” at the restoration service. It will be open every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday in October from 7 p.m. until close. Regular admission is $17 and express admission is $13. An adult must accompany children under 12. Concessions will be sold.
