Critterpalooza set for Saturday at Juniper

Critterpalooza is set for Saturday, Oct. 13, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. in and around the Jack Williams Pavilion at Juniper Hill Park. The event will feature live music, food and pets for adoption.

Admission is $10 and includes a meal catered by STAXX BBQ with vegetarian options available. The admission fee is waived for children under 15 accompanied by a paying adult as well as for adults over 65.

Enjoy live music, food and friends in a beautiful park setting. Live musical performances will be Josh Tincher, 12:30; Patrick & Lyndsey, 1; Billy, Lauren & Sophie Hill. 1:30; TNT – A Natural Stone Band, 2:30; and Acoustic X, 3:30.

Registration for the annual Pet Parade will begin at 11 a.m. and there will be a Blessing of the Animals at noon.

Several area humane societies and animal rescue organizations will be on hand with some of their adoptable dogs and cats. On-site adoptions may be offered, or adoption applications may be submitted.

Attending organizations include Holly’s Place Animal Rescue, LIFE House for Animals and Franklin County Humane Society.

All of the proceeds will be split evenly among these three organizations. Other area rescues may be in attendance.

The silent auction runs from 11 to 3 featuring goods and services from local artists and businesses.

There will also be a media sale featuring gently used books, movies, puzzles and games. Cakewalks, raffles and door prize drawings will be held throughout the day.
