SFPC fall bazaar underway

South Frankfort Presbyterian Church, 224 Steele St., is holding its fall bazaar until 3 p.m. TODAY and from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at the church. Lunch will be served Saturday, there’ll be a bake sale, raffles and an indoor flea markets.

Sponsored by the South Frankfort Presbyterian Women, all proceeds will go to benefit the community.

‘Call to Prayer’ is Oct. 31 in rotunda

All churches are invited to unite in participation of  “A Call to Prayer for Our State and Nation” from noon-1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31, Reformation Day, in the Capitol rotunda. All weekend

Nightmare On 2nd Street: Camp Pleasant Baptist Church, 830 Shadrick Ferry Road, and Capital Restoration & Automotive Service, 106 W. 2nd St., are sponsoring a haunted house called “Nightmare On 2nd Street” at the restoration service.

This is the final weekend for the event, which is open TONIGHT, Friday and Saturday from 7 p.m. until close. Regular admission is $7 and express admission is $13. An adult must accompany children under 12. Concessions will be sold. Located at 106 W. 2nd Street.


Trunk-or-Treat: First Church of God, 1029 Burlington Lane, will be having a trunk-or-treat at the church on Friday, 6-8 p.m. There will be free food, an inflatable, candy, and Ronald McDonald will be here.  The event is open to everyone.


Family Fun Night for children through age 11 is planned for Saturday, 6:30 p.m., at New Harvest Assembly of God, 3864 US Hwy 127 South. There will be a bonfire, roasted hotdogs, marshmallows, a movie, games, pumpkin decorating, and a hayride.  Costumes are welcome, but no costumes that are scary, demonic, or revealing in nature.

Fall Festival: Bethel Baptist Church, 8200 Owenton Rd., is holding a fall festival from 5-7 p.m. Saturday. The event will feature games for all ages, prizes, face painting, a costume contest and candy. Supper will follow. All is free.

Fall Festival: Crestwood Baptist, 1006 E. Main St., will be having a Fall Festival on Saturday, 1-5 p.m. There will be inflatable games, horse-drawn wagon rides, carnival games and food. The New Harmony Praise Team will be providing entertainment during the event. There is no charge for this event.

Fall Festival: Graefenburg Christian Church, 5900 Louisville Rd. at the intersection of US 60 and Hwy 151, is hosting a fall festival from 1-4 p.m. Saturday. There will be games and snacks for all.

Trunk-or-Treat: Graefenburg Baptist Church will host its annual Trunk-or-Treat family festival on Saturday, 6 p.m. The church will hand out candy to the kids and serve soups, hot dogs, and chips to the whole family inside the fellowship hall. The church is located on Highway 60, just west of the Franklin/Shelby County line.

Fall Festival: Camp Pleasant Baptist Church, 830 Shadrick Ferry Rd., is holding a fall festival on Saturday. This event is open to the public and festivities begin at 5 p.m. There will be many free events for all ages. A chili dinner concludes the evening featuring sandwiches and dessert priced at $5 for families of four or less and $6 for families of five or more.

Trunk-or-Treat/Fall Festival: North Frankfort Baptist Church, 7945 Owenton Rd., will hold trunk-or-treat and a fall festival from 3-5 p.m. Saturday. Everyone is welcome.


Tailgate Trick-or-Treat: Quest Church, 2250 Lawrenceburg Rd., is 4-7 p.m. Sunday. There will be candy, a bonfire, hot chocolate and supper for a small charge.

Fall Festival: Memorial Baptist Church, 130 Holmes St., will have a fall festival from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, in the church parking lot.
