TRICK-OR-TREAT FROM 6-8 P.M.

Trick-or-treating in the city of Frankfort will be from 6-8 p.m. tonight. Children over 12 are asked to not wear masks. The Frankfort Police Department will host Operation Safe Treat during the same hours today at the Public Safety Facility, 300 W. Second St.

STATE POLICE PLAN SAFE TRICK-OR-TREAT

The 10th Annual Kentucky State Police Safe Trick-or-Treat Event is set for 6-8 p.m. tonight at KSP Headquarters, 919 Versailles Road. The event is sponsored by the Kentucky State Police Professional Association, Froggy 104.9 FM, Montaplast, Inc., Bob Allen Chrysler and Domino’s Pizza.

The intent is to provide a safe trick-or-treat environment for children and their families that is arranged in a unique drive-thru format.

Residents are welcome to make candy donations to KSP Headquarters. All candy will be screened before the event. Visit the KSP website for more information.

CHURCH-SPONSORED ACTIVITIES

Trunk of Treats: North Fork Baptist Church, along with the Switzer Ruritan Club, will have chili, soup, sandwiches and desserts beginning at 5 p.m. in the North Fork Ministry Center.  The meal will be followed by Trunk of Treats. The church is located at 3660 Rocky Branch Road. 

Trunk-or-Treat: North Benson Baptist Church, 4845 Devils Hollow Road, will be holding trunk-or-treat from 6-8 p.m. tonight. There will be games for kids, a costume contest at 5:30 p.m. and candy.

Trunk-or-Treat: St. John Baptist Church, 1775 St. John Road, will have trunk-or-treat from 6-8 p.m. tonight.

Trunk-or-Treat: Graefenburg Christian Church will host trunk-or-treat from 6:30-8 p.m. tonight. The church is located at 5900 Louisville Road.

Trunk-or-Treat: Capital City Christian Church, Versailles Road at Locust Lane, will hold trunk-or-treat from 6-8 p.m. tonight. Events include free food, inflatables, live music, a fire breather, carnival games, prizes, and decorated cars with loads of candy.

Free hot chocolate and brownies: Hope Lutheran Church, 1251 Louisville Road, is serving hot chocolate and brownies from 6-8 p.m. tonight.
