Church plans revival

A revival featuring evangelist Ed Nichols is set for Friday, 7 p.m.; Saturday, 7 p.m.; and Sunday, 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. at Refreshing Word Ministries, 535 Holmes St. next to Lyons Lumber Co. For more information call (859) 753-8823.

WFCofG planning

day-long food drive

West Frankfort Church of God (WFCoG) will be collecting non-perishable food items on Saturday, Nov. 3 at both Kroger locations and Wal-Mart from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. for the church’s food pantry, “Handsful on Purpose.” If you would like to make a donation or need more information, contact Larry Hazlett at 502-680-0513.   In 2011, the pantry provided food to 2,700 families.

St. Paul bazaar Nov. 3

St. Paul United Methodist Church, 1800 Louisville Rd., will hold its annual Bazaar-Burgoo-Bake Sale event from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3 at the church. Lunch is served beginning at 11.

SFPC invites children to participate in pageant

South Frankfort Presbyterian Church, 224 Steele St., invites young people ages 4 through high school to participate in its annual Christmas Pageant, “Celebrating the Christ Child.” It presents the Christmas story through contemporary and traditional Christmas music, scripture, and poetry in a multimedia-enhanced lessons and carols format.

Rehearsals are at the church every Sunday from 4:30-6 p.m. beginning Sunday, Nov. 4. The pageant will be presented Sunday, Dec. 9 at 5:30.
