Two upcoming church-sponsored events

Two extremely popular events sponsored by local churches are on the schedule and tickets are available now or will be soon. These events often “sell out” so we’re sharing this information with you now so that if you’re interested you may make your reservations.

>Capital City Christian Church’s popular Christmas in Mayberry will be reprised several times beginning Wednesday, Nov. 28 through Saturday, Dec. 8. Tickets are free but are required and each performance includes dinner. There’s a limit of six tickets per person and they typically go quickly.

Reservations will be taken beginning at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12. For more information, contact the church at 695-1188, fax 695-8747 or visit www.capitalcitychristian.org.

>The Madrigal Dinner and Yuletide Festival is planned for Friday, Dec. 7 and Sunday, Dec. 9 at First United Methodist Church, 211 Washington St. Tickets for the Madrigal Dinner and Play are $20 for preferred seating and $15 for general seating. It’s held in Asbury Hall of the Wesley Center.

The Yuletide Festival follows the dinner and begins at 7:15 in the church sanctuary. Dinner tickets include preferred seating for the festival. Tickets for the festival only are free and on a first come-first served basis.
