Singing Sunday at North Fork

North Fork Baptist Church, 3660 Rocky Branch Rd., will host a Small Church Sing Sunday night. 

This is a joint service with Providence and Calvary Baptist Churches. Featured will be “Doxology” from Nicholas County.

The service will begin at 5 with a time of fellowship following the singing. The public is invited. For more information call 695-1499.

‘The Reason for God’ study continues at Memorial

Memorial Baptist Church, 130 Holmes St. is offering a study based on the book, “The Reason for God” by Dr. Timothy Keller.

Varying subjects from the book will be discussed each week at the church and all are invited to this free event.

The remaining sessions are offered at two different times: Sundays between 9:30 and 10:40 a.m. during the regular Bible Study hour and then repeated Monday evenings between 6:30 and 7:40.

Subjects for discussion and dates are as follows:

Jan. 27-28: “Why Does God Allow Suffering?”/“Why Is There So Much Evil in the World?”

Feb. 3-4: “Why is the Church Responsible for So Much Injustice?”/“Why Are Christians Such Hypocrites?”

Feb. 10-11: “How Can God Be Full of Love and Wrath at the Same Time?”/“How Can God Send Good People to Hell?”
