Quartet performing March 2 at Capital City

“Brian Free and Assurance” will perform 7 p.m. Saturday, March 2 at Capital City Christian Church, 15 Locust Lane at Versailles Rd. Admission is $10 per person at the door. For more information call 695-1188. The date of the event was incorrectly listed in Tuesday’s church news.

Events at Crestwood

Two events are planned for this weekend at Crestwood Baptist Church, 1006 E. Main St.

Friday: Crestwood’s Fourth Friday Night Movies begins 7 p.m. Friday with the screening of “We Brought a Zoo.” The event is free and refreshments will be served.

Sunday: Dr. Robert Smith, Jr., professor of divinity and Christian preaching at Beeson Divinity School will be delivering the sermon at the 10:45 a.m. and 6 p.m. services.

Church plans ‘movie nights’

First Church of God, 1029 Burlington Dr., is holding movie nights beginning Sunday. Here’s the schedule: Sunday, “Facing the Giants;” March 3, “Fireproof;” and March 10, “Courageous.” Call the church for details, 223-8451.

Kaiser’s art on display at First Methodist through March

The artwork of Erika J. Kaiser is on display in the Wesley Center of First United Methodist Church, 200 Washington St., through the month of March. A reception for the artist will be held noon Sunday, March 3.

The gallery is open during regular church office hours in the week and during Sunday services and other programs.
