‘Imaini’ at Hope Sunday

“Imaini,” the Wittenberg University Gospel Choir, will be providing music throughout the 10:30 a.m. service Sunday at Hope Lutheran Church, Louisville Road. A free-will offering will be taken to help cover the choir’s travel expenses. Lunch will follow the service.

Events at Crestwood

These events are planned for Crestwood Baptist Church, 1106 E. Main St.

Sunday: “Beyond the Ashes” gospel group, 6 p.m., free admission.

March 22: Friday Night Movie, “The Odd Life Of Timothy Green,” 7 p.m., free admission and refreshments.

‘Family/Friends Day’ planned for March 24

First Church of God, 1029 Burlington Lane, is having “Family and Friends Day Sunday, March 24. The worship service begins at 10:30 a.m.  Lunch will be served following the service.

Forks of Elkhorn kids taking part in famine

Fourth and fifth grade students from Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church will take part in a 20-hour famine starting 6 p.m. March 28 and ending 2:30 p.m. March 29 to raise money for World Vision. During the time they will participate in 20 service projects including at the church, Veterans Administration in Lexington, the soup kitchen and Emily Apartments.

Allen speaking at Memorial services

Dr. Brad Allen, author of “Catch the Wind,” the story of spiritual awakening in the Hebrides Islands from 1949-53, will speak at the Spiritual Awakening Conference at Memorial Baptist Church, 130 Holmes St. Services are 6:30 p.m. March 28-30 and 10:50 a.m. March 31.

Providence plans consignment sale

A children’s consignment sale will be held 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, April 13 at Providence Baptist Church, Georgetown Road. Consignors are invited to sell gently used children’s items like beds, high chairs, activity centers, changing tables, toys, books, DVDs, bottle and clothes.

Proceeds will be divided with 75 percent going to the consignor and 25 percent to the Simon House. Those wishing to consign items may find detailed information by visiting www.pbcfrankfort.org or by calling Michelle Barnes, 502-320-4716. The deadline to consign items is April 3.

Booth Brothers at Capital City April 6

The Booth Brothers will perform 7 p.m. Saturday, April 6 at Capital City Christian Church, 15 Locust Lane. Admission is $10 at the door. For more information call 502-695-1188 or visit capitalcitychristian.org.
