WEDDINGS AND ENGAGEMENTS
Mr. and Mrs. Todd C. Wash of Frankfort announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Bridgette Nicole Wash, to Ramsey McElroy Quarles, son of McElroy and Cathy Quarles of Frankfort.
Ms. Wash is a graduate of Sullivan University with a Bachelor of Science degree in paralegal studies and is currently working on a Master of Science degree in management at Sullivan University. She is employed as a paralegal at the Caldwell Law Firm.
Mr. Quarles is a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University with a bachelor’s degree in assets protection and is also a graduate of Western Kentucky University with a Master’s Certificate in geographic information systems. He is employed as a geoprocessing specialist at the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.
A destination wedding is planned in October at Delray Beach, Fla.
Jennifer Catherine Goins, daughter of Mike and Lisa Goins of Frankfort, and Justin Alan Howard, son of Tony and Judy Howard of Lawrenceburg, were married 2:30 p.m. April 27, 2013 at North Benson Baptist Church. The Rev. Steven Stutzman performed the ceremony.
Nuptial music was provided by pianist Mary Ellen Samples, soloist Michael Howard and guitarist Andrew Slucher.
Mandy Moore was the matron of honor. Kathy Martin kept the guest book.
Jesse Sims was best man, and Zach Tipton was the groomsman. Ushers were Sean Moore and Jon Howard.
A reception at the Capital Plaza Hotel followed the ceremony.
After a wedding trip to Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Fla., the Howards are making their home in Frankfort.
Mrs. Howard is a graduate of Western Hills High School and Eastern Kentucky University. She is employed at Western Hills Learning Center.
Mr. Howard is a graduate of the Christian Academy of Lawrenceburg and Boyce College. He is employed as youth pastor at Crestwood Baptist Church and as a bus driver for Franklin County Public Schools.
Amanda Kelly Hainsworth, daughter of the late William “Bill” and Charlotte H. Hainsworth, and Wallace “Wally” B. Cardwell II, son of Wallace and Charlotte Cardwell of Lawrenceburg, were married 3 p.m. Feb. 1, 2013 in Gatlinburg, Tenn. Mike Smith performed the ceremony.
The bride was given in marriage by Wallace B. Cardwell I in honor of her late parents.
The ringbearer was Tucker Barens of Frankfort, nephew of the groom.
A reception at Crystelle Creek Restaurant in Gatlinburg followed the ceremony.
After a honeymoon in Gatlinburg, the Cardwells are making their home in Lawrenceburg.
Mrs. Cardwell is a graduate of Tates Creek High School and attended Lexington Community College for respiratory therapy.
Mr. Cardwell is a graduate of Anderson County High School. He is employed by Huber Tire Co. in Shelbyville and Wallywood (cedars and firewood).
Martha and Kenneth Smith, of Owenton, recently celebrated the 50th anniversary of their wedding with a family dinner at The Colonel’s Lady. They were married Aug. 2, 1963 at Grace Baptist Church in Bowling Green. The Smiths have two children, Richard (Kim) Smith of Frankfort and Lisa (Bill) Allen of Owenton. They have five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
