WEDDINGS AND ENGAGEMENTS

Evans-Hiles

Forrest Allen and Beverly Donnelly Evans of Worthington announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Allison Elizabeth Evans, to Gregory Scott Hiles, son of Kenneth Edward and Phyllis Hampton Hiles of Frankfort.

Ms. Evans is a graduate of Morehead State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in health promotions with a minor in public relations. She is employed by the Lexington/Fayette County Health Department.

Mr. Hiles is a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Arts degree in integrated strategic communications and a minor in business. He is employed by the Lexington/Fayette County Health Department.

The wedding will be Oct. 12 at the Grand Reserve in Lexington.

A closed wedding will be observed.

 

Hammond - Smith

Kelly Ann Hammond, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Hammond of Lawrenceburg and Judy Hammond of Frankfort, and Steven Wayne Smith, son of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Smith of Frankfort, were married 2:35 p.m. July 27, 2013 at Camp Pleasant Baptist Church. Brother Don Karsner performed the ceremony.

Nuptial music was provided by Carissa Waldridge, Susie Armstrong, the Webbers and Jodi Wheatley.

Kim Goode Gaines was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Paige Smith, Rebecca Ash, Samantha Hammond and Chelsie Cook.

Michael Quincy was best man. Ushers were Melvin “Duder” Gaines, Rodney Smith, Paul Webber, Morgan Hammond and Justin Benassi.

A reception in the Camp Pleasant Fellowship Hall followed the ceremony.

The Smiths are making their home in Frankfort.

Mrs. Smith is a graduate of Western Hills High School.

Mr. Smith is employed by Kentucky state government.

ANNIVERSARIES

Woolums

Artice Lester and Ann Adams Woolums, of Frankfort, are celebrating the 60th anniversary of their wedding Aug. 22. The late Dr. Kitson married them at his home Aug. 22, 1953. Their children are Marie (Jason) Wise, Frankfort; Tommy Woolums, Frankfort; and Tony (Beth) Woolums, Lawrenceburg. They have six grandchildren.
