Church planning Saturday picnic
St. John Baptist Church family night is planned for 5-7 p.m. Saturday. Grilled hotdogs will be provided and everyone is asked to bring side dishes to share. Also bring a yard game and a chair.
Sunday at Camp Pleasant
A “Cardboard Testimonies” service will be held 11 a.m. Sunday at Camp Pleasant Baptist Church, 830 Shadrick Ferry Road. Participants are invited to share how God has changed their lives by holding up pieces of cardboard in front of the church with short testimonies written on the front and back.
Practice for the service will be 6:30 p.m. Saturday with cardboard and markers provided. Van service is available for the Sunday morning service by calling the church at 502-227-5144.
Peaks Mill plans
Sept. 29 homecoming
Peaks Mill Christian Church, 7534 Peaks Mill Road, will celebrate homecoming Sept. 29. There will be music from 10-11 a.m., a worship service with Stanley Eastman speaking from 11-noon and a potluck meal following the service. For more information call Ronnie McKinney at 502-227-9800.
‘New Vision’ concert
planned for Solid Rock
The quartet “New Vision” will be presented in concert 6 p.m. Sept. 29 at Solid Rock Christian Church, Building C, 1007 Twilight Trail. There is no admission but a love offering will be taken. Pie and ice cream will be served following the program. The public is invited.
