Fall festivals planned
The following churches have scheduled fall festivals and other activities for Halloween weekend and Halloween. All feature games, food and trick-or-treat like treats. For more information, call the numbers listed.

Camp Pleasant Baptist Church, 830 Shadrick Ferry Road, trunk-or-treat, 6:30 p.m., Oct. 31, candy and a maze for children.

Hope Lutheran plans Fireside Worship
Hope Lutheran Church, 1253 Louisville Road, continues its Fireside Worship 7 p.m. the remaining Wednesdays in October. This is an informal, outdoor worship service around a campfire with music, stories and conversation. The theme for this year’s Fireside is “prayer.” The public is invited.
Highland plans Blessing of Animals
Highland Christian Church, 265 Versailles Road, will hold a Blessing of the Animals service 5 p.m. Sunday in the playground behind the church. All pets are welcome. For more information call 502-875-3100.
Camp Pleasant plans Fall Festival
Camp Pleasant Baptist Church, 830 Shadrick Ferry Road, will hold its annual Fall Festival beginning at 6:30 p.m. Saturday. There will be a chili supper, games, costume contest, silent auction, pie in the face, maze, scare room, and hay rides. A love offering will be accepted for the festival.
There is a $3 charge to cover chili supper and cake walk tickets will be $1 each.
Bazaar this weekend
at South Frankfort
South Frankfort Presbyterian Church, 224 Steele St., will hold a two-day fall bazaar 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday and Saturday with lunch featuring chili, cornbread, dessert and drink served from 11-1 for $6 per person. There will be a bake sale, raffles and an indoor flea market.
Sponsored by the South Frankfort Presbyterian Women, proceeds will be used to benefit the community. For more information visit sfpcky.org.

West Frankfort Church of God, 1518 Louisville Road, will hold a revival 7 p.m. Oct. 28-Nov. 1 featuring The Browders.
celebration is set for Nov. 1
The Church Women United World Community Day Celebration is Nov. 1 at First Baptist Church, 100 Clinton St., with refreshments at 10 a.m. and the program at 10:30. New officers will be installed during the program. The public is invited to attend.
The program is “Walking through Doors of Opportunity” with the Rev. Donna Aros, pastor of St. Paul Methodist Church, exploring opportunities where CWU can become involved in bringing more unity to the community.
Harvieland plans Youth Fall Fling
Harvieland United Methodist Church, Flat Creek Road, will hold a Youth Fall Fling 3-6 p.m. Nov. 3. The event will feature a variety of activities including food, games and singing. For information call Barbara Wethington at 502-227-3485.
First Christian bazaar Nov. 6
First Christian Church, 316 Ann St., will hold its annual Holiday Bazaar, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. and chili lunch, 11-1:30 at the church Nov. 6. The event features crafts, homemade ornaments, gourmet food table, boutique jewelry, upscale yard sale, antiques/collectibles and quilt raffle. For more information call the church, 502-223-2346.
