Michael and Kristine Stone, of Frankfort, announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Stephanie Stone of Louisville, to Philip Johnson of Louisville, son of Ronald and Theresa Johnson of Louisville.

Ms. Stone is a graduate of Frankfort High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in exercise science from the College of Charleston and a doctorate of physical therapy from the University of Indianapolis. She is employed by KORT J-Town Physical Therapy.

Mr. Johnson is a graduate of Trinity High School and Eastern Kentucky University, where he received a bachelor of arts degree in history. He is a member of the Kentucky Army National Guard and is employed by the Department of Veteran Affairs.

The wedding will be Feb. 22, 2014 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Louisville.

A closed wedding will be observed.




Herman and Peggy VanMeter Perry, pictured here on their wedding day and now, are celebrating their 50th anniversary with a reception 3-5 p.m. Saturday at the Bagdad Ruritan Club Building. They were married Dec. 21,1963 at Centenary Methodist Church, Shelbyville. Their children, Sarah Mcgee and Chip Perry, invite all friends and family to celebrate with them. No gifts, please.


Charley and Lori Lutes Preston are celebrating the 25th anniversary of their wedding Tuesday. The late Rev. Wallace Kent married them Dec. 17, 1988 at Crestwood Baptist Church. Their children are Zachary Preston and Sydney Preston.




Tate and Jason Hyatt, of Frankfort, announce the birth of a son, Sawyer Scott Hyatt, born Nov. 12, 2013 in Frankfort.

Maternal grandparents are Clint and Vicki Goins. Paternal grandparents are Ron and Conney Hyatt.
