Ellen Glasgow and her grandson, Dylan Glasgow, love this ginkgo (Ginkgo biloba) on the corner of Capital Avenue and Fourth Street. Ellen has watched this tree turn yellow in the fall for more than 30 years. She loves its size and vibrant autumn color. This species is native to China and was imported to North America in the 1700s. Ginkgos grow well in urban environments.
