>The Frankfort Children Singers will present their 11th annual Christmas Concert 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 201 St. Clair St. The repertoire for the concert, which includes classical, folk and traditional choral music, will be performed by Prelude Singers (second and third graders) and Concert Singers (fourth through eighth). This year the Western Hills Chorale will join FCS for the concert. The concert is free and open to the public.
>“An Afternoon with Santa and His Helpers” is planned for 4:30-6 p.m. in the Paul Blazer Library on the Kentucky State University campus. The event is for children 12 and under and will feature free photos with Santa, story time and the creating of an edible craft.
>Lessons and Carols, a traditional candlelit service to benefit the Resource Office of Social Ministries (ROSM), will be held 5 p.m. at Church of the Ascension, 311 Washington St. The service will feature traditional scripture readings and music for Advent. >South Frankfort Presbyterian Church, Third and Steele streets, is the backdrop for this year’s Christmas Pageant at 6 p.m. This year’s pageant is set at JFK International Airport on Christmas Eve, where stranded and homesick children from all over the world share songs and customs from their respective countries.
