Here’s this week’s information about the phases of the moon and signs of the zodiac.
The moon is in the light phase now and will remain there until the full moon 4:28 a.m. Tuesday. Until then proceed with activities most benefitted by the light moon. Then for most of the day Tuesday and until the new moon 6:14 a.m. New Year’s Day, only those that benefit from the dark moon.
A look at the signs reveals the very fertile sign Taurus (the neck) rules TODAY with the moon in the light phase.
Monday through Wednesday finds the sign moving to Gemini (the arms), the bean sign as we move closer to pea-planting time in February.
Thursday and Friday we have the fertile sign Cancer (the breast) in force with the week concluding with the killing sign Leo (the heart) in force Saturday and Dec. 22.
Again this week, we have a nice mix of signs, all we’re missing are some flowering and so-so ones and we’ll get them next week.
This week features three Ember Days so if you’re doing any planting in your greenhouse or transplanting, avoid Wednesday, Friday and Saturday — super killing days!
Winter begins with the Winter Solstice at 12:11 p.m. Saturday. That is the first day of winter — and then the days start getting longer for the next six months. Too bad we have to endure winter in the interim!
