Book Alerts and Author Check

Want to be alerted when the library has new materials? Sign up for New Book Alerts, a free online service that showcases the newest titles purchased by the library. You can select to receive alerts via email and/or RSS feeds. If you see a new title that you are interested in, just click “check catalog” to place a hold on the item.

Have a favorite author and want to know when the library has new titles by that author? Sign up for Author Check, a service enabling you to create a list of your favorite authors currently available in the library’s catalog.

You will receive an email notice as soon as the library orders a new title by one of your authors, with a link into the catalog to place your own hold. Check out these services by going to www.pspl.org and clicking on E-Library.

Streaming movies

The library has subscribed to a new service, Freegal Movies & Television, which allows patrons to stream movies and television programs to their computers and mobile devices. You must have a valid library card and pin number to access this service.

You may check out three movies per week for a 48-hour viewing period. There is no software to download, as this service is browser and app based.
