Feast of Epiphany Jan. 6 in Midway

MIDWAY — Midway Christian Church will celebrate the Feast of the Epiphany at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 6 with a special menu prepared by Chef Ouita Michel and her staff at the Holly Hill Inn and served in Midway College’s Piper Dining Hall, 512 East Stephens St. Proceeds will benefit the church.

Reservations are required and will be taken through TODAY. At press time, tickets were still available. Call the church at 859-846-4102 or pay at the church’s website site via PayPal. Receipt of payment guarantees reservation; because of demand, no refunds will be given.

The feast dates to the third century. In modern times it celebrates the manifestation of God in the birth of Jesus Christ and the visitation of the Three Wise Men, or Magi, to Jesus soon after his birth. In addition to the meal, Muzik, a medieval music group that plays authentic replicas of ancient instruments, will provide entertainment.
