Church Women United
plans prayer event

Church Women United is sponsoring “In Prayer for Home and Abroad” at 10 a.m. March 1 at the Church of the Ascension Parish Hall, 311 Washington St.  Following a continental breakfast, the program begins at 10:30. The public is invited.

Mikel Robinson will speak about his work with the water purification programs in foreign countries and Rev. Rebecca Saager of Ascension will bring information about a Summer Reading Camp Program. An offering will benefit the Emergency Food Pantry.

Spiritual program
set for yoga studio

A sing-a-long and spiritual rejuvenation through music and the arts will be held 7:30-10 p.m. March 1 at the Frankfort Yoga Studio. Those coming are invited to bring instruments and join vocalist Jessica Gaines, Devin French with “kinesthetic art collaboration” and other artists.

Gaines is affiliated with the Ojibwe Indian tribe and chants, drums, sings and leads others in singing. French is a regional glass artist and does creative workshops as well as live paintings.
