Capital City church sets
women’s conference

Capital City Christian Church Women’s Ministry is hosting a half-day women’s conference entitled “Connect the Dots,” 8:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Saturday at the church, 15 Locust Lane. Speakers are Nikki Knight and Darby Dugger from Southeast Christian Church, who will speak on connecting with Christ and others.
The conference includes workshops, individual and group breakout sessions, worship, giveaways and more. Lunch is included.
The cost is $10 at the door and all proceeds go to building a well in Haiti for the Haitian Needy Children’s Foundation. To attend, email name, address and phone number to or call the church at 502-695-1188.

First Presbyterian Church
hosting ‘Hot Chocolate’

The Membership and Outreach Committee of First Presbyterian Church, 416 W. Main St., will host Hot Chocolate and the Marshmellows at 3 p.m. Sunday in the church’s sanctuary. The band performs Kentucky roots music.
Band members include Billy Dunigan on the guitar, Jim Webb playing banjo, Dan Atkins on the mandolin and Lee Cowherd on bass. The group also often features guest fiddler John Harrod.
The public is invited and refreshments will follow the program.
