The Franklin County High School Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) completed a student-planned, organized and implemented service project “Blessings for Babies” recently.
Members made 25 baskets with supplies for newborn babies and made a $350 donation. These donations were presented to Julie Dodson, counselor for Avenues for Women. The project took four months to plan and complete.
Students received donations of items such as newborn outfits, diapers, baby personal supplies (shampoo/lotion), blankets, bibs, and toys. Each basket contained a minimum of one of each of these items.
