Cruise-in tonight
in Lawrenceburg

North Frankfort Baptist Church and Advance Auto Parts of Lawrenceburg are hosting a “Cruizn-4-A-Reason” with all proceeds to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
The event will be held in the parking lot of Advance Auto Parts in Lawrenceburg, 1170 Glensboro Road, from 6-8 TONIGHT. Church plans Relay benefit yard sale
West Frankfort Church of God, 1518 Louisville Road, will host a yard sale beginning at 8 a.m. Saturday to benefit Relay for Life. Food will also be available.
Highland is hosting pie, ice cream social
Highland Christian Church, 265 Versailles Road, is hosting a pie and ice cream social from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the church. The event is a benefit for Relay for Life.
The cost is $5 per person and tickets are available in advance from church members or at the event. In addition to food, there will be crafts and a cabin raffle. For more information call 502-875-3100.

Weekend events at
Forks of Elkhorn

MIDWAY — Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church, 4956 Duckers Road, has scheduled two events for Saturday and Sunday.
On Saturday, the church will host its annual car and motorcycle show from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Registration is from 9 until noon, with award presentations and final drawings beginning at 2. Day-of-show registration is $15 per vehicle. All proceeds will go to the “Forks Forward in Faith” building program.

On Sunday, the church will celebrate its 226th Homecoming.
Mike James, associate pastor at Judson Baptist Church of Nashville, and former pastor of Glenn’s Creek Baptist Church will be the guest speaker at the 8:30 and 11 a.m. worship services.
Other activities include a potluck dinner following the conclusion of the 11 a.m. service, a 2 p.m. wreath-laying ceremony at the grave of the church’s “founding father,” Rev. William Hickman at the DAR lot in the Frankfort Cemetery and a 6 p.m. concert by the men’s trio, “Redemption.”
