Children’s consignment sale at Providence Baptist

The deadline is TODAY to consign for a sale featuring children’s items set for 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Sept. 13 at Providence Baptist Church, 6265 Georgetown Road. Bake sale at First Baptist

There will be a pie and bake sale sponsored by First Baptist Church Sunday School at Bryant’s Pic Pac, 221 West 2nd St. from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday. All proceeds benefit the church at 100 Clinton St.  

 

‘The Story’ at Capital City Christian Church

“The Story” is a 31-week program that has Bible selections arranged chronologically, and reads like a novel. Concert at Alton Baptist

“Narrow Road,” a bluegrass gospel band will perform at 10:15 a.m. Sunday at Alton Baptist Church in Lawrenceburg. A free breakfast will be served 9 a.m. - 10 a.m. Everyone is invited.

 

Brian Free & Assurance performing at Evergreen

Brian Free & Assurance will perform at 7 p.m. Sept. 12 at Evergreen Baptist Church, 2698 Evergreen Road. Admission is free; a love offering will be taken. The public is invited. For more information, contact the church office at 502-223-8364.

 

Church plans auditions for ‘Best Christmas Pageant’

Auditions for Barbara Robinson’s “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” will be held beginning at 6 p.m. Sept. 14 at Graefenburg Baptist Church, U.S. 60 just across the Franklin-Shelby County line.

All ages are invited to audition for the play. Auditions, which are open to the public, will consist of a cold reading from the script. The play will be staged at the church Dec. 10, 13-14.

The play tells the story of the Herdman family that joins the cast of the church Christmas play with no previous church experience, ultimately making the production into “the best Christmas pageant ever.”
