Kentucky State's basketball teams fell to Lane College Saturday night in Jackson, Tenn.
The Thorobreds lost 75-61, and KSU's women lost 52-48.
In the men's game, Kentucky State led 30-26 at halftime but was outscored 49-31 in the second half.
Lane, which shot 26.5 percent from the field in the first half, improved to 54 percent shooting in the second half. The Thorobreds also improved their shooting, going from 31 percent to 45.5 percent.
But turnovers and rebounding proved to be problems for KSU, which committed 24 turnovers and had 10 assists. Lane had 24 assists and turned the ball over 16 times.
On the boards, the Dragons held a 44-33 advantage. Two Lane players were in double figures in rebounds - Ryan Bennet with 13 and Tramon Jackson with 11. Kenneth Fox led KSU with nine rebounds.
K-State's Marlon Walls led all scorers with 19 points, and teammate Ricky Green finished with 14 points.
