Wildcats win as Davis loses cool

LOUISVILLE - This game deserved a wild ending.

After a truly strange second half, No. 18 Kentucky held on to defeat No. 6 Indiana 70-64 Saturday at Freedom Hall.

It was Indiana's first loss of the season against eight wins. It was a loss Indiana coach Mike Davis wasn't around for at the end.

The Hoosier coach was tossed after two technical fouls with just 2.6 seconds remaining in the game and UK clinging to a one-point lead.

"There's no way I should have acted like that," Davis said. "I can't explain it. I've done something to embarrass my team."

When asked if he cost his team the game, Davis said he did.
