FCHS blasts Jaguars

By STEPHEN M. VEST Special to The State Journal Published:

It was one of those games every team needs to have once in a while. A game where the coach gets to play everyone and everyone plays well.

Franklin County's boys basketball team had such a game Monday night as it dispatched of East Jessamine 85-53 at home.

"I'm really proud of the effort tonight," said FCHS coach Lewis Morris. "They came out ready to play and it showed - they did a great job."

The Flyers were led by four players in double figures - Daniel Moore with 15, Adam Jones 14, Bruce Bohman 12 and Eric Eastman with 10 - and had 10 different players putting points in the scorebook.

"We shot the ball well tonight and when you're shooting well you look good" regardless, Morris said. "They (East Jessamine) were 10-2 coming into this game, so it was important that we came out ready to play and we did. That's important."
