KSU defeats Central State in double OT

Two bitter rivals clashed Saturday night with Kentucky State and Central State hooking up at the Exum Gym before a packed house of 2,750 fans.

The game went right down to the wire as KSU won a double overtime thriller, 104-100.

The game was tied at 72-all after regulation and at 88-all after the first overtime.

The stars were many for Kentucky State, now 9-11.

Guard Ricky Green came off the bench to score a game-high 33 points, including a 15 for 18 performance at the free throw line.

Jason McGowan added 21 points and was perfect on his 15 free throw attempts.

KSU was a whopping 51 for 63 at the foul line while Central State, 13-9, was just 18 of 30.
