KSU sweeps Miles

Kentucky State's men's basketball team built a nine-point lead at halftime and held on for an 80-73 win over Miles College Saturday night at the Exum Center.

KSU's Jason McGowan led all players with 25 points, one of three Thorobreds in double figures. Ricky Green finished with 15 points, and Nabil Boudissa chipped in 10.

K-State shot just 39.4 percent in the first half but held Miles to 25.8 percent shooting. The Thorobreds were also 41.2 percent (7 for 17) on three-pointers.

Miles won the battle of the boards 44-42, but KSU's Kenneth Fox led all players with 11 rebounds.
