State Journal Staff report Published:

LEXINGTON - Franklin County's Megan O'Nan ended her prep swimming career Saturday in the KHSAA State Swimming and Diving Championships at Lancaster Aquatics Center with a 13th place finish in the girls 100-yard breaststroke.

Michael Snedegar of Western Hills swam his best times in the 200- and 500-yard freestyle events Friday but didn't advance to Saturday's races.

O'Nan clocked in with a 1:10.26 in the consolation finals to finish fifth in that race and 13th overall. She was seeded 14th coming into Saturday's race.

"I'm proud of how I did today," O'Nan said. "I did my best and my time was better than yesterday, so that was pretty good."

O'Nan swam 1:10.56 in Friday's prelims.
