Current plays in Ky.-Ohio game

COVINGTON - The Ohio all-stars swept the Kentucky squads Friday night at Thomas More College in the Kentucky-Ohio all-star basketball games.

The Ohio boys knocked off Kentucky 87-79 while the girls won 89-74.

Frankfort High senior Chris Current played for the Kentucky boys. Current scored five points and pulled down five rebounds in 14 minutes of actions. Current also recorded two assists and one steal.

Sean Booker of Ballard led Kentucky with 15 points and 10 rebounds.

Current was recently named first team all-state by the Lexington Herald-Leader. The team is voted on by head coaches across the state.

He tried out Saturday for the Kentucky-Indiana all-star team but didn't make the squad. The team is picked by a committee, based only on three tryout sessions over the course of the weekend.
