No questions were necessary when a reporter approached Frankfort High coach Bobby Wilson after his Lady Panthers dropped a 12-0 softball game to the Franklin County Lady Flyers on Tuesday afternoon.
Wilson summed up the defeat in one word: "Errors."
Frankfort High committed 12 errors in falling to 0-11 on the season and 0-3 in district.
Franklin County made no errors in improving to 14-5 and 4-0.
"That's been the thing all year," Wilson said of his team. "Errors. We made errors, and we didn't hit the ball at all."
Wilson said most of his team's miscues were on such routine plays that he couldn't play the youth card this time.
"There's no excuses," Wilson said. "I'm disappointed. Those were just routine outs. The age has nothing to do with that. They know it. I didn't have to say anything to them."
Franklin County scored two runs in the top of the first inning and never looked back.
