Franklin County pitchers Amy Eichhorn and Michelle Farler were both right on target as the pair combined for a no-hitter against East Jessamine Wednesday at Sally Gaines Field.

The Lady Flyers, ranked No. 24 in the state, cruised to a 10-0 win in a game called in the bottom of the sixth inning on the mercy rule.

"Again, we did a good job hitting the ball," Franklin County coach Tracy Spickard said of her team, which produced 12 hits, "and our pitching efforts from Amy and Michelle were solid."

Franklin County improves to 18-6 on the season while East Jessamine falls to 6-8.

Eichhorn started the game and went four innings, striking out eight batters. The lone Lady Jaguar to reach base did so on a walk in the first inning.

Nonetheless, Eichhorn, a senior, earned the 90th win of her career with the victory.

"It's been a goal I've had, to get 100 wins," Eichhorn said. "That's something that has helped me focus because it's been in the back of my mind."

Farler, a junior, threw the final two innings, and she retired all six batters she faced.
