Gordon wins four events at EKU all-comers meet

Jackie Gordon won four individual events Tuesday at an all-comers meet at Eastern Kentucky University, leading the Frankfort High girls track and field team to a second place finish.

Gordon won the 100, 200, 400 and 800-meter runs Tuesday while teammate Ryan Quire won the 1,600 meter run and the Lady Panthers also took the 4 by 400 meter relay.

Tates Creek won the meet with 162 points while FHS was next with 97.

Marcie Stone's win in the 3,200 run helped Franklin County to a sixth-place finish with 58 points. Sara Jackson was the lone Western Hills participant. She earned eight points.

On the boys side, WHHS finished sixth, Frankfort High was ninth, and FCHS was 16th. Tates Creek was the winner with 103.5 points.

Matt Hebert of WHHS won the 800 run and Frankfort's Ephraim Fields took the shot put as those two were the only local boys winners.
