Second Street boys win

The final regular season middle school track and meet was completed Wednesday afternoon at Kentucky State University.

Second Street continued its dominance on the boys side, winning with 155 points, followed by Bondurant with 74 points. Capital Day finished sixth, Franklin County 10th and Frankfort Christian Academy 11th.

On the girls side, Shelby County held off Capital Day 108 to 98. Second Street was next and FCHS came in seventh. TFCA was 10th.

Double winners included Second Street's Cameron Jouett and Josh Smith on the boys side and Capital Day's Lauren Ramsey and Emily Gardner for the girls.

Next up for the local middle school athletes is the county championships, set for Wednesday at KSU.
