Frankfort's Babe Ruth 16U baseball team took fourth place in a Father's Day tournament played at Franklin County High School and in Louisville this past weekend.

Jake Arnold delivered two doubles and a home run to lead Frankfort over Cincinnati.
Frankfort wasted no time getting on the scoreboard, scoring five runs in the first inning. J.W. Brown led off with a double to left, advanced on fielder's choice to third and was driven in by a double delivered by Joe Hyatt.
Mark Gardner's single scored Hyatt from second base. Arnold then came to the plate and hit a double, scoring Gardner. With two outs Matt Kennedy singled up the middle, scoring Arnold. A steal and a wild pitch put Kennedy on third, and he scored on a single by Jake McDonald, giving Frankfort a 5-0 lead.
Frankfort came back in the second inning and sent 10 batters to the plate. J.W. Brown reached by error and scored on a double by Will Current. Hyatt singled to score Current. With one out Arnold delivered his second double. A wild pitch on ball four to Seth Armstrong put Arnold at third and Armstrong on first. Kennedy flied out to center, scoring Arnold.
McDonald followed with a walk, and Dustin Brown then hit a single scoring Armstrong. Frankfort led 10-0 after two innings.
Arnold came to bat in the fourth inning and hit a home run over the leftfield scoreboard to make the final score 11-0. The game ended on the mercy rule.
Hyatt pitched five shutout innings, giving up only four hits and two walks while striking out two.
