The Anderson County volleyball team was in top form Tuesday night and that spelled trouble for Western Hills, which dropped a 25-16, 25-11 decision to the Lady Cats at WHHS.
Despite the loss, Lady Wolverine coach Kristi Buffenmyer was still upbeat about her team's play.
"Our teamwork is getting better," Buffenmyer said. "We're talking better and covering the holes a lot better."
But Anderson County was simply too much for WHHS.
The Lady Cats served well and blocked well at the net, but what also caused Western Hills trouble early was how the Lady Cats continually sent the ball over the net without setting it.
"We're not used to teams hitting it right back so fast," Buffenmyer said. "We couldn't get a handle on it, but we overcame that and did a better job as the match went on."
Both games started out close before Anderson County pulled away.
