Frankfort, WHHS get wins; Lady Flyers fall

Frankfort sophomore Aaron Dunaway scored 29 points in leading the Panthers to an 89-55 win at Berea Tuesday night.

It's the eighth-straight win for the Panthers, who are now 10-5.

Frankfort led just 18-12 after the opening quarter but was up 42-28 at the half and 66-42 after three periods.

Three other Panthers scored in double figures. Tory Robertson scored 15 points, Myron Moore 14 and Joe Hyatt 11. Others scoring for Frankfort included Daniel Brown and Ryan Cash with six points each, Will Current with five, Josh Oliver two and Matt Anderson one.

Craig Dollins led Berea with 16 points.

FHS returns to action Friday night hosting Western Hills.

WHHS 53, Mad. Southern 48

The game was close throughout but the Western Hills boys basketball team improved to 11-6 on the season with a 53-48 win at Madison Southern Tuesday night.

The Wolverines, who haven't played a game in 11 days, started off strong, leading Madison Southern 17-14 after one quarter and 25-19 at the half.

The Eagles kept it close, however, making the score 41-38 going into the final period.

WHHS senior point guard John Keene led all scorers with 18 points as four Wolverines reached double figures. Kyle Bibb chipped in 11 points, and Jordan Samuels and Jonathan Hood added 10 each. Charles Keene and Tyler Toncray each scored two points.
