K-State teams fall to CAU

The Kentucky State basketball teams dropped a pair of games Saturday night on the road versus Clark Atlanta.

In the men's game, KSU fell behind early and lost 78-69 while the women fell 88-58.

It was a rough game all around for the KSU men, who shot just 26.9 percent from the field, 63 percent from the free throw line, and played without leading scorer Ricky Green.

Clark Atlanta connected on 40.7 percent from the field and 71 percent at the foul line.

CAU led 34-26 at the half.

Michael Moran hit seven three-pointers and led CAU with 29 points, three assists and five steals. Marques Jackson added nine points and 12 rebounds while Paris Kirk chipped in 12 points, eight boards and five assists.

Kentucky State was led by Michael Dupree's 22 points. Mike Kuhn earned a double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds, and Daniel Hawkins added 15 points.
