The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) has named All-Region honorees for indoor track and field in Division II.
Kentucky State’s Ronnie Roberson earned all-region honors in four events, and Chris Spalding, John Jackson, Denita Brown and Tiffany Jones all earned all-region honors in three events.
The top five from each region in individual events and each member of a relay ranked in the region’s top three have earned the All-Region distinction for the 2012 indoor season.
A total of 1,012 athletes receive 1,476 USTFCCCA All-Region nods. The USTFCCCA regions match those used for NCAA Cross Country Championships.
Roberson was honored in the 200 meters, 4x400 relay, distance medley relay and high jump.
Jackson was recognized in the 400 meters, 4x400 relay and long jump, Spalding in the high jump, long jump and triple jump, Brown in the 800 meters, 4x400 relay and distance medley relay, and Jones in the 400 meters, 60-meter hurdles and 4x400 relay.
Other KSU student-athletes receiving all-region honors were Adam Crews, 4x400 relay and distance medley relay; Brandon Higgins, distance medley relay; Jacob Jean-Pierre, 800 meters and distance medley relay; Quintin Mems, 4x400 relay; Cory Spalding, 60-meter hurdles and high jump; Krisja Curlin, 5,000 meters and distance medley relay; Tonisha Delorch, long jump and triple jump; Amber Hutchinson, mile; Jade Palm, distance medley relay; Kristina Record, 4x400 relay; Monique Scroggins, distance medley relay; Nicole Washington, weight throw; and Dejanee White, 4x400 relay.
