Thurston, Lawhorn win Pro.Active for Life 5K

Daniel Thurston was the overall winner of the Pro.Active For Life 5K Friday night in downtown Frankfort.

Thurston finished the race in 17 minutes, 7 seconds.

Robin Lawhorn was the top female finisher with a time of 20:45.

The overall top 10 finishers and their times were Thurston, 17:07; Daryl Parks, 17:27; Brandon Pulliam, 18:02; Aaron Schaffner, 18:43; Damien Rock, 19:55; Chris Collins, 20:21; Ryan Smith, 20:34; Lawhorn, 20:45; Bryan Cummins, 21:21; and Robert Unger, 21:29.

The run/walk was a benefit for the United Way of Franklin County.

The Pro.Active for Life 5K is the second leg of the Frankfort Trifecta. The third leg is the Activate America 5 Mile Run/2 Mile Walk, which will be held on June 16.
