Crum signs to play baseball at Asbury University

Logan Crum, 18, who graduated from Franklin County High School last month, has signed to play baseball at Asbury University, a NAIA school in Wilmore.


Crum has lettered in baseball at FCHS.


Parents: Steve and Lisa Crum.


Plans to major in: sport management.


GPA: 3.67.


Sport you plan to play in college: baseball.


Position played: All infield positions.


Selected school because: It is close to home, has a good Christian atmosphere and several of my family members are alumni.


Letters earned: Baseball (4).


Chose school over: University of Kentucky, University of the Cumberlands, Union College, Western Kentucky University and Murray State University.


Honors earned: Baseball – Academic Award (2), Leadership Award, Most Valuable Player, Coaches Award, Co-Team Captain. National Honor Society, Beta Club.


Franklin County baseball coach Deron McDonald on Logan Crum: “I am so proud of Logan. He has worked extremely hard to get the opportunity to play college baseball. Logan has the highest ethics and morals of any high school student I have been around. He always puts God first in everything he does. He is truly a role model that you would want your kids to follow.”
